Physical Properties

1. Volatiles: The glass is not volatile. Therefore, it does not burn or melt. We can measure the physical properties of the glass by calorimeter (temperature, conductivity, and density). It is <= 1.0 % at Temperature 135 °C.

2. Thickness: The glass can be formed in different thicknesses, 0.3mm to 20mm, depending on the customer’s request. The ideal thickness is 229 microns.

Mechanical Properties

1. Tensile Strength, Yield: The tensile strength of the glass is 738 MPa at a Temperature of 82.2 °C

2. Tensile Modulus: The tensile modulus is 417 MPa at a Temperature of 82.2 °C

3. Flexural Strength: The flexural strength is 1170 MPa at a Temperature of 23.9 °C

4. Flexural Modulus: The modulus of elasticity is 44.8 GPa at a Temperature of 23.9 °C

5. Compressive Strength: The compressive strength is 820 MPa at a Temperature of 82.2 °C

6. Compressive Modulus: The modulus of elasticity is 43.4 GPa at a Temperature of 23.9 °C

Thermal Properties

The Glass Transition Temp, Tg is -165 °C. We obtain this value by Differential Scanning calorimetry (DSC).

4. High tack, high flow prepreg: Low resin content, up to 12 plies. Low shrinkage. So, we can easily handle it in the fabrication process.
